Standard Type of Ni-Cd Battery

As a traditional rechargeable battery, camelion has improved the Foamed and Sintered production procedure to obtain the maximum space of usage. It can be discharged at 10C or higher and has long cycle life, excellent high-rate discharge characteristic, wide applications and it is more economic in use.

2. Electrical Performance of Ni-Cd Battery
ELECTROCHEMISTRICAL PROCESS:
By using of Nickel Hydroxide as the positive electrode, Cadmium as the negative electrode and Potassium Hydroxide as electrolyte, the electrochemistrical process are described as the following:

CHARGING
For standard charging ,we recommend constant charging at 0.1C rate for 14-16 hours at 20°C.Overcharge at 0.1C rate without time limit is allowed.For fast charging at 0.3C rate to 1C rate at 20°C, we recommend a charging device equipped with negative-delta-voltage cut-off control and /or temperature sensor to protect the batteries
from over charging. Negative-delta-voltage is recommended to be 10-20mV. At environment temperature below 10°C,Charging at 0.3C rate or above should be disabled.

DISCHARGING


At 20±2°C, it can be discharged continuously at 0.2C rate to 1.0V cut-off, or high -rate discharged continuously at 10C rate to 0.8V.

CYCLE LIFE

500 - 1000 charge/discharge cycles can be expected under normal use with a specific charger.
