Standard Type of Ni-MH Battery

Camelion Ni-MH batteries are made of high quality materials. The main materials are imported from Japan. The positive can be made under Foamed or Sintered production procedure. This ensures the batteries high capacity and long cycle life, low internal resistance and low self-discharge.

ELECTROCHEMISTRY PROCESS
Camelion Battery use nickel hydroxide for the positive electrode, hydrogen absorbing alloys in its negative electrode, and potassium hydroxide solution in its electrolyte. The electro-chemical processes aredescribed as below:

CHARGING
For standard charging , we recommend constant current charging at 0.1C rate for 14-16hours at 20°C,Overcharge at 0.1C rate without time limit is allowed. For fast charging, we recommend a charging current of 0.5C rate to 1C rate , with the mandatory implementation of quick-charge termination methods . The termination methods include:
Temperature Cut-Off(TCO) of 55
°Cmaximum , Rate -of -Temperature -Rise (dT/dt) of 0.7-0.8°C/min. Negative -Delta-Voltage method with 10-15mV/cell . Timer Control can also be applied ,for a capacity input of 120% of nominal. For maximum capacity , trickle charge can be applied after quick -charge is terminated. We recommend trickle-charge of 0.1C for 2 hours, or 0.2C for 1 hour.

DISCHARGING

At 20±2°C, it can be discharged continuously at 0.2C rate to 1.0V cut-off, or quick discharged continuously at 3Crate to 0.9V.

CHARGE RETENTION

Charge retention curves of Ni-MH batteries at various storage temperatures.

CYCLE LIFE

500 - 1000 charge/discharge cycles can be expected under normal use with a specific charger.
